The
Market Research tool in Exporters.SG is a built-in trade intelligence feature available to
Exporters Plus and
Premium members. It helps both buyers and sellers make informed decisions by providing real market data drawn from the platform's transaction activity.
What the Market Research tool tells you
- Median prices and price ranges - Understand what a product is actually selling for on the global market, not just asking prices.
- Latest quotations - Know reliable quotes with quantity and location from approved sellers.
- Top demand locations - See which countries and regions have the highest demand for a specific product.
- Top sellers and buyers - Identify the most active traders for that product, giving you competitive intelligence and sourcing leads.
- Similar product interests and demand - Understand what other products are similar buyers interested in.
- Similar seller products - Discover more products similar sellers are offering.
Who should use Market Research?
- Sellers: Use it to benchmark your product prices against the market, adjust your pricing strategy, and identify where the strongest demand exists for your products.
- Buyers: Use it to verify that a quoted price is competitive, find the best supply sources, and understand global pricing trends before committing to an order.
How to use the Market Research tool
- Log in to your Exporters.SG account (Exporters Plus or Premium required).
- Navigate to Market Research under your Selling or Buying dashboard.
- Enter the product name or keywords in the search box.
- Review the median price, price range, demand map, and top trader results for your query
Tip for sellers: Run a Market Research query before setting your product price. If your price is too high above the median, your price might not be competitive. If it's too low below, you may be leaving margin on the table.
