It is then sprayed into the air and irrigated entire soil surface through spray heads so that it breaks up into small water drops which fall to the ground.

What is a micro sprinkler?
They have been given many names..."Jet-Sprayers" "Micro sprinklers", "Micro-Jets", Micro-sprayers", "Spray Jets", but they are all, simply put, low-volume spray heads. It may help to think of them as hybrids, or a cross between low volume drip-emitters, and conventional high volume spray heads. They are similar to spray nozzles, because both devices broadcast small droplets of water in spray form over a defined coverage area, but like drip emitters, they operate at low pressures.
