Ericsson’s SmartEdge Multi-Service Edge Router platforms is a set of highly scalable, compact platforms that deliver multiple functions at the edge of the IP/MPLS network to reduce the network’s physical topology. Offering high scalability, the SmartEdge MSERs enable the highest ratio of subscriber to size and energy consumption – with up to 256,000 subscribers (any combination of PPP, DHCP, or Clientless IP) consuming from 5.5mWatts to 37.5mWatts per subscriber when fully loaded.
