Egyptian Rock Phosphate mines are Government Controlled through 2 Major
Holding companies :
1- EL Nasr Minning at Aswan South Egypt 60-70% export market share
2- Phosphate Misr at Abou Tartour Mines Southwest Egypt 20-22% market share
3- WADICO South Egypt 5%
4- Wataniya South Egypt 3%



Mines in Egypt have ranges from low grade 17% - 22%
Midium to High grade ranging from 24% - 30%
Rock Phosphates in Egypt are Characterized by low Uranium content worldwide
compared to Florida Mines in US, Morocco, Jordan.
