In Yemen, the method of beekeeping has always been a traditional one. No chemicals
or drugs are allowed (in modern agriculture, chemicals and antibiotics are widely used
to control mites and other bee diseases in the hives). No machinery is used. To extract
the honey they use smoke (from dried camel skins) that forces the bees to come out
and move away. Then they take off the cover and the comb is extracted with a knife. It
is put into boxes or larger containers by hand. Therefore it is authentic pure and raw
