Ammonium Bisulfite, also known as ammonium hydrogen sulfate, is a clear yellowish
solution when it is completely pure, with formula (NH4) HSO4. It is widely used in oil
fields to remove oxygen. It is an oxidizing agent and removes oxygen from the
source. It is also used on photography industry along with caramel colour
manufacturing. In oil field industry it is used in upstream oil industry. In upstream oil
field industry it is being used as an oxygen scavenger and corrosion inhibitor, it is
also used in water treatment industry.
