Sodium adipate is a sodium salt of and adipic (hexanedioic) acid - a C6 dicarboxylic
acid. It is a colorless crystalline solid which is readily soluble in water and is effective
as an acidity regulator and complexing agent. The acidity regulatory property of
sodium adipate finds many uses in pharmaceutical drug development. In addition,
sodium adipate is used as a stabilizer of PVC.
