Asphalt Emulsion - Prime Coat

General description:
Slow setting and low viscosity asphalt emulsion composed of Bitumen asphalt, water and special emulsifiers.
SHOPRIME is used instead of cutback asphalt MC or hot road asphalt.

Advantages:
• Money and time saving is achieved, as no use of heating is required.
• Less consumption in application than cutbacks.
• Does not affect the base bitumen properties.
• They can be used with cold as well as heated aggregates, and with aggregate that is dry or damp.

Uses:
• Base pre-coating primer.

• Waterproofing for substructure.

• Pre-mixture of aggregates for surface treatments.
• Application method:

The applied surface must be clean from oils or waste materials.
SHOPRIME is sprayed to the desirable surface with the appropriate apparatus. Application is not recommended in case of rainy weather. Applied temperature is 20-70oC.

Consumption:
It depends on the sub layer properties and the nature of the aggregate materials consumption varies between 0.4 to 0.7 kg/m2.


Precautions:
Avoid skin and eye contact. In case of contact, use plenty of water and seek medical advice. Use the appropriate means of self protection. The emulsion is not toxic. It must not be disposed to surface and still water.
