DVS-8504E is a four channel IP video server, supporting H.264 compression.
Unit supports two way audio and extended PTZ controls for external CCTV
cameras with DiDo and relay contacts. It has a 3.5" SATA slot for local hard-
drive stream recording. The DVS-8504E is using the most efficient H.264
compression at hardware level, supporting D1 resolution (720 x 576 pixels).

The DVS-8504E works in pair with DVS-8501D H.264 hardware decoder. Both
DVS-8504E and DVS-8501D make a complete video over IP surveillance
system that does not require computer stations or servers to process
information. All high resolution (D1) image processing and H.264 video
compression is performed on the internal hardware platform.

The DVS-8504E offers highly-effective H.264 video compression. It can deliver
multiple or individual configurable video stream simultaneously at full 30fps
frame rate in all resolutions up to D1 (720x480 in NTSC, 720x576 in PAL). This
means that several video streams can be configured with different
resolutions, frame rates and bit rate for different needs. The DVS-8504E can
also provide dual-stream transmissions for recording and monitoring. The
DVS-8504E has provision for a SATA hard-disk for local or backup recording
applications. The DVS can also provide video for viewing at two different
locations or have the main stream be recorded and have the sub-stream
available for live viewing. The web management offers the user access to
detailed alarm detection and actions.
