HDF (High Density Fibreboard) is an engineered wood product made by compressing fine
wood fibers with resin
under very high pressure and temperature to create a dense, strong, and smooth panel. It is
similar to MDF but
has a higher density, making it harder, stronger, and more durable.

HDF is widely used in flooring (especially laminate flooring cores), furniture manufacturing,
doors, wall paneling,
and interior decoration. Its smooth and uniform surface allows for excellent finishing,
laminating, and coating
applications.

HDF is valued for its high strength, wear resistance, and dimensional stability. It performs
well in applications that
require durability and a refined surface finish, although like other fiberboards, it is best
suited for indoor use
unless specially treated for moisture resistance.
