Ash wood comes from trees of the genus Fraxinus and is known for its strength flexibility
and shock resistance.
It has a light color with a straight attractive grain making it popular for furniture flooring
tool handles and
sports equipment. Ash wood is easy to work with and provides a smooth finish though it is
less resistant to
moisture and decay compared to some hardwoods.
