Prime coat asphalt emulsion
Is a cold applied fluid asphalt emulsion.
Uses:
Ready to use. It is sprayed directly over the compacted base before laying any asphalt course.
Advantages:
Easily applied applied as does not require heating.
Environmental friendly.
Can be applied during all weather conditions except in rainy climates.
Application instructions:
must be stirred for about 15 min. immediately before using.
is sprayed by equipped vehicle.
Spraying must be done uniformly and pressurized.
The spraying is in one direction.
The base course must be dry and surface must be cleaned thoroughly or sandblasted.
Asphalt binder course can be applied over the base course after 24 to 48 hours.
Colour
gives a dark brown color immediately after being sprayed.
After breaking 201 is changed into black.
darkness increases with the final setting.
